The last year has represented a challenging period in terms of world economic conditions - but it also presented a major opportunity for Telcon following the restructure of 2006. The significant strengthening of the balance sheet and the 100% ownership by directors & employees has given a new impetus to the business.
The accounts for the year to June 2007 have been posted showing sales up 16% on the previous year - reflecting growth in all territories, in particular outside of Europe.
The extremely high cost of nickel, and the strength of sterling, had a severe adverse impact - however with the co-operation of our customers we have addressed these difficult situations. We appreciate this support and look forward to developing our relationships for the growing markets that exist.
Product development is all important - and we are pleased to announce the launch of our new HTP50LP current sensor.
Having an extremely low profile of 11.3mm, and integral primary conductors the HTP50LP allows significant reduction in headroom on PCB's.
In 2008 we will also continue to develop the higher current ranges of our Closed Loop Sensors with variations of terminal and bus bar arrangements. We are also strengthening our Open Loop range - and new devices will be announced later in the year.
